The fine folks here at StarTrek.com have just posted a new, lengthy “roundtable interview” with Dayton Ward, Kevin Dilmore, Marco Palmieri, and yours truly regarding the just-released anthology Star Trek Vanguard: Declassified.

So, if you’ve never had the pleasure of being trapped in a hotel bar with the four of us while we talked shop, now you can get a sense of just how truly excruciating that experience is, but without the mitigating effect of alcohol.

Seriously, we talk about the origin of Declassified anthology project, how it developed, and what readers can expect from the stories therein. If you’re a Star Trek Vanguard fan, this one’s for you.

Enjoy, and be sure to leave comments on the article's page to let StarTrek.com know you were there. :-)

"Let me see if Ive got this straight. You're risking the ship, the crew, and the mission on the assumptions that Helkara and Leishman are engineering geniuses, Tharp is a piloting savant, our transporter chief can work miracles, and the Breen are unwilling to sacrifice themselves in a kamikaze attack?" "Yup." "Damn I LOVE this job."

Thanks for the link, DM.  The interview helped me appreciate Hard News a little more. And another TNG trilogy?  Can you out-epic Destiny?

I'm worried about Quinn.  I'm hoping he gets a better ending than poor Quixote.

Enjoy Shore Leave and please try to make it to the west coast some time. Though I just moved to Seattle and don't think there is much Sci-fi stuff going on here.  Lots of anime and comics, but not much sci-fi.

I just finished Dayton Ward's part of 'Vanguard: Declassified' so I don't know if I want to read the interviews now before I finish the book or if I'll wait until after I read the whole book.

Thanks for the link, though!!  I will most def. read it!  ^_^

Peace!

I am enjoying Vanguard so much! It's the reason I came back to Star Trek books in the first place.
