Methinks the lady doth protest too much.

"Let me see if Ive got this straight. You're risking the ship, the crew, and the mission on the assumptions that Helkara and Leishman are engineering geniuses, Tharp is a piloting savant, our transporter chief can work miracles, and the Breen are unwilling to sacrifice themselves in a kamikaze attack?" "Yup." "Damn I LOVE this job."

I don't like to report people, think it's kind of childish.  But since we don't have a "block member" option, I really don't have a choice when another member get floods a thread with garbage.

I have reported two people here for flooding a thread with accusations that they each were banned members coming back with new accounts.  It had got to the point that there were 4 or 5 pages of just junk in the thread.

I like the system on the board I was previously a member of: all reports were made public, so the membership knew who was reporting on who and why.  Kept people from abusing the report option and use the block member function.

well, you don't know who is reporting anything.  Only admins are going to know if reporting is increasing or not.

I know you're not.  I'm just saying there is no point in being paranoid about it.  Or to go on some sort of witch hunt.  Just because people say reported doesn't mean they really are.  Nor does it mean they didn't used to report stuff without saying anything.

I think at the moment we have a few troublesome members that may have been absent or less active before.  And the board tends to just cycle through a lot of high drama periods.  Always has.

Agreed, I think now we are in one of those cycles,

When I left there was only onee "troll I could remember which was the one who went after Roboto, and that's all I can remember, than I took the break

To come back to some troublesome members, threads, etc

Just not used to it !!! (:

Perhaps because a little group of trolls have become more abusive and been actively trolling and trashing other people's threads more of late. Hence the need to report more often in order to bring their disruptive and abusive behaviour to the REAL ADMIN's attention.

It also occurs to me that those who are complaigning the most about people reporting trolls and these trolls being banned are themselves trolls, probably people who have returned with new accounts after being banned permanently and they are trolling in response to their pal being banned.

All very infantile IMO.

I have to agree.  Returning with a new account after being banned is clearly ridiculous.

Deliberately getting oneself banned just so that one can return with a new account, even more so.
