If the election were held today

Well, for many I suppose it was nice while it lasted. No presidential polls clutering up Ten Forward, no endless news stories about who might be winning based on the latest caucus or election result, relative peace and quiet. Unfortunately, such calm is coming to an end as candidates are now starting to officially declare. The choices I have provided have to my knowldege not ruled themselves out from running and are being treated seriously by various interst groups.

If I have left somebody you would vote vor off the list, by all means comment on that person here in this thread (or elsewhere). Perhaps that person will make it into the next poll.

Well, as is often said around here, let the games begin.

Don't expect her to run for Prez in 2012

Thanks for catching the typo. I will try and be more careful next time.

I was suprised when I heard she wasnt running, always thought that was still her main goal. Would have loved to have seen a bitch fight between her and Palin.

"Let me see if Ive got this straight. You're risking the ship, the crew, and the mission on the assumptions that Helkara and Leishman are engineering geniuses, Tharp is a piloting savant, our transporter chief can work miracles, and the Breen are unwilling to sacrifice themselves in a kamikaze attack?" "Yup." "Damn I LOVE this job."

If your on the president's cabinet, you probably wouldn't be able to run against him and do your job at the same time.

Is it just my imagination or does "Newt Gengrich" sound like an amphibian's fungal infection?

Interesting. Looks like all of those Obama bashers really don't have an alternatative of their own to put forth. Only one vote for Sarah Palin and one vote for Mitt Romney, and a write in for Hilary Clinton - Obama's Secretary of State. Perhaps they have not settled in on a candidate yet, as it is so early in the process. Perhaps they just like being on the offense and don't want to commit to anybody, even by voting in a poll without comment. Time will tell.
