The Vulcans of Enterprise were too emotional. If the writers had kept the Vulcans logical in their arguments against starfleet it would have worked better. If one listens to the dialogue about Vulcans past, which was set in the many TOS episodes; the emotional Vulcans happened centuries before Spock. The only Vulcan of emotional note is Spock, as he is half human. The writers forgot, or made a decision to ignore what had been established in TOS about Vulcans.
