Agreed.

I guess the Borg are more Dalek-like too, huh LS.

LOL. Nice observation. Yeah... I have to say that as cool as the Borg are, I LOVE the Daleks more. They're scary by way of philosophy, yet so freakin' hilarious verbally and structurally. Hmmm, on that last note, I'd like to throw R2-D2 up against a Dalek and see what happens.

Both are interesting concepts but I really would like to see something new and creative.

Aye, but for existing episodes, not necessarily future ones... Which do you enjoy watching the more?

Well-p I guess it depends on what "soup de jure" I'm in the mood for.

Its like choosing zombies or lizard monsters. I don't know? Psycho lizards are pretty scary especially if you know they could just come up to you and brake your neck if they feel like it and thats if they don't feel like useing their weapons. But a zombie robo that seemly comes out of no ware that acts like an annoyed wasp that adapts to any defense and stings you and turns you in to one of them just sounds more creepy.
Guess I’ll go with the borgs.

I will say I like the First Contact Borg better than the TNG Borg (except maybe Hugh) They were creepier and more alien, it seemed.

Locutus = "He who has spoken" (Latin)

But watching a half naked Patrick Stewart in grey makeup... Not quiiite my idea of a good time.
(j/k)

The FC Borg undoubtedly looked better, so did the VOY Borg... but the stories war what I meant. I would watch a TNG Borg episode over a VOY Borg episode or FC given the choice.
Thats interesting about Locutus! Never knew!
Methinks I agree 'bout a half naked and grey SirPat!

Wouldn't mind seein the Jem'Hadar again... maybe when the Dominion has joined the Federation (if it ever happens).
A Jem'Hadar Starfleet officer could be interesting. We could have the first Jem'Hadar in Starfleet! Imagine what it'd be like... (I'm getting all these ideas for stories with a Jem'Hadar in starfleet now)
I would like to see the Borg in a future series, though not as the main antagonist of the series... maybe a 3 episode arc with them in, or somfin'... just to satisfy my need inner nerd, ay.

Some interesting comments.

Yeah I guess my own opinion might be influenced by the point that I've never really liked zombie movies. Even spoof-zombie stories like Sean of the Dead and the South Park episode did not appeal. Not that they're not good -- just not my thing.

But when I say I like the First Contact Borg better as a concept, I wasn't really thinking of their physical appearance -- they seemed creepier in that they were more drone-like. Whereas the TNG borg, although not individuals, were still eloquent and a little more human-like than FC.

I like Hugh, though -- but perhaps that's just because I think the actor's pretty good looking. Hard to say. They certainly did well to cast a guy who could look innocent and vulnerable in the role.

Some of the Jem'Hadar, too though, are awesome characters. (I think I like some of their individual characters better as well...) Like Goran'agar and Ometi'klan and Ikat'ika and Remata'klan and Vorak'ara (the one who asks Dax how old she was in To the Death.)

All great actors playing great characters. I know they're probably all supposed to be generic bad-guy cannon fodder, but just thinking about those characters makes me smile.

Edit: Oh and both the main guys from One Little Ship (the First and the Second.) How can I forget them -- fantastic characters, a heavy story that somehow did not clash at all in a fantastic light-hearted episode.

They did something similar (not the same, but similar) in the DS9 relaunch series with Taran'atar not joining Starfleet but being on the station as a kind of observer. He was an interesting character, too -- in a very similar position to how Seven of Nine is initially on Voyager.

Maybe I overused the word "similar" in this post. Oh well...

I would like to see something new also, but I wouldn't say no to the idea of the Jem'Hadar and Borg both coming back in later series, either.
