JADZIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ezri killed the role completely. Jadzia was so amazing and Jadzia and Worf's relationship was so cool. They should have at least killed her AFTER the baby!

I agree that Jadzia was clearly the superior Dax, but I don't think Ezri killed the role completely, as it was not the same role. The should have just let Jadzia die and build off the existing characters for augmenting the story.

I go for the underdog. Ezri all the way , i say if there were more seasons she would have developed into a likable character to the fans.

Jadzia all the way. Loved the attitude and I loved the character in "Trial and Tribble-Ations". She made me laugh so much during that episode!

Jadzia! For the simple reason that, I'd marry a girl like Jadzia Dax in a heart beat... she's smart, compassionate, beautiful, and most importantly knows how to have fun. "Jadzia!!!!"

Anyone who says "Ezri" isn't a real DS9 fan

I would have to disagree. Jadzia was one of my favorite characters, but I, also, warmed up to Ezri. Jadzia was a good commander on screen, yet Ezri had that innocent girl charm that attracted me to her. Jadzia was a rebel and a good leader whereas Ezri was cute and sweet, having to be an annoying at certain times. I think this depends on your personal taste in women or the character roles they play. If I could choose the 'both' option, then I would have chosen both. I think it is unfair to have to choose between the two.

Well... I'm a DS9 fan, most certainly. So I guess I just must not be real.
Hmm... Feels interesting to be imaginary.

Both were very good. DS9 didn't give us enough time to really judge and defend Ezridax role.

I would have to go with Jadzia. Mainly because she was a stronger character. Ezri was okay, but they shouldn't have wasted so many of the final episodes of DS9 trying to do develop her character.
There's a kind of freedom in being totally screwed, you know things can't get any worse.

It isn't fair to compare the 2 and say one was better. One was an experienced and driven woman living the life she had chosen and the other was a simple girl who had a different life (several different lives) thrust upon her. They are 2 different characters, almost like comparing Darth Vader to Anakin. Like those SW characters, it was interesting to see the older then the younger.
I'm actually glad Ferrell left. It allowed them to use Dax in a way unique to the species, almost like changing Dr Whos. Except with Ezri, we got a glimpse of our own adolescence- learning to see the world differently and growing from awkwardness to maturity.

Ezri.
First, because she was cute.
Second, because she had built-in character flaws and conflicts to overcome, which made her much more interesting to watch. Jadzia had everything together, and all her previous hosts were perfectly coordinated. It never seemed to work: she could be whoever she needed to be depending on what the episode required, or on which writer was in charge. Ezri had a bit more individuality and depth.
Third, because she was cute.
