>Agreed "Logic" in the Vulcan terminology seems to be more of a catch-all phrase for Surak's teachings. I would write more but only 42 secs worth of internet time so bye!!

Vulcan logic: Managing not to nuke each other into extinction by controlling all emotion except for kalifee and pon farr, living in caves, impregnating human women and holding the child responsible for not being fully Vulcan, wearing horrible, heavy clothes in the flipping hot desert, bad haircuts, and speaking 19th century English.

It is curious how often you humans manage to obtain that which you do not want. - Spock

I was a big fan of TNG Romulans, but always wanted them to provide a more detailed background. Being a mystery is fine for some cultures, but since they stood out so much, I felt they should reveal more.

Yes, the heavy robes are quite design fail and nobody looks good with these clothes on. It has sense to wear it, only if it had some built-in cooling unit or if they wear something like fremen stillsuit underneath, therefore the robes over it seem to be that heavy.

One of the things I liked on Star trek 2009: We could see, that even an old pointy-eared guy can walk through the space well-dressed, (I really liked Spock Prime's asymetric coat and that winter suit with hood) and does not have to wear some shapeless robe and a tasteless portable 'Important minerals of all the planet Vulcan' exhibition on heavy golden chains on his neck.

(But Sarek's suits in Journey to Babel and the other TOS Vulcan outfits were quite good. And I have nothing against Vulcan men in tights.).

I like the Romulans, in large part due to the fact that they were the first race in the franchise to have a woman in charge ('The Enterprise Incident').

My only dislike would be the forehead ridges (?) that appear out of nowhere in Enterprise...disappear in TOS and ST: XI...and return in TNG, DS9.....
