I think this option would help especially seeing all thee action that has been going on these pst days.

I think it'd help but as a few others mentioned it takes some self control too

I think it would be a good idea. It would definitely help ignore the trolls, hopefully making them go away.

I've seen the option on other boards, but I've never used it. Then again, they don't have nearly as many trolls as this board does.

Great idea.  But the site won't follow it.  They have yet to take an interest in improving the boards or take suggestions.

>I would like to request the addition of an "ignore" option. I have been on other boards where if I did not care to read the posts of another member (usually a troll) I could choose "ignore" and I would no longer be able to see posts from that member.

>I know the mods can't police every thread and handle every complaint quickly. So, giving individual members the option to handle the matter immediately would go a long way in improving everyone's experience on the boards.

>I thank you for taking this matter into consideration.

Love it. Simply mar-vel-ous!

Com'on, ADMIN, let's get this show on the road!

Could make it so that it is temporary, should a person so choose. See the person's username but not their comment, and if they feel like they are missing valuable parts of the conversation, they can cancel out that option.

More than that -- it takes self-control in a situation where other people don't know you are exerting self-control, which in many ways is harder!

What do you mean, like a thumbs up, thumbs down system? If so I'm not sure that would work so well, particularly with all the long-time cliques and factions on this board.
