Is there no merchandise more upscale than Shirtless Kirk Calogne?
Must there ALWAYS be a WINK involved with products of this sort?

I have been unable to locate anything higher-end, for instance,
the unusual liquor bottle and glasses used in Kirk's apartment for
STAR TREK III. Or any of the wall decorations from Cloud Minders,
in The Original Series. Is there NO market for fine, quality items?

There is always auctions and estate sales you just have to be persistent at looking around; normally when, "Hollywood" raps a movie the prop master handles the props whether to be reused or placed in storage.

Do your research and look whats around in your area you will be surprised at what you might find near by. Novelty stores, second-hand places, antique shops, and the garbage  You can also set alerts on google to help you out there.

Thanks, ^^Nicolas^^, but I wasn't really thinking about auctions.
Mostly, what I had in mind was "reproductions" of props used in
STAR TREK that are NOT communicators or phasers, but rather fine
items, like crystal, or works of art, that were used in episodes,
or on the movies. It seems all companies are interested in coming
out with are T-Shirts, Toilet Water, Action Figures and knick knacks.
Slapping STAR TREK's name on anything may be good enough for peasants,
but if you want to make a $ale with ME - let's see some QUALITY merchandise!

Ehhh ... I'm not getting through. How can I make myself clear to you
... You ... YOU PEOPLE??? What I would LIKE to see is reproductions
of art, of tapestries, of set peices that were actually used IN the shows.

When Picard visits Reeva, for instance, there were NO Black Velvet
Paintings hanging of Kirk and Spock, like what that link offers!

I'm talking about props, too, that were used in the show. In TSFS,
Kirk pours drinks for the crew in his apartment. The glasses he uses
are tall, thin cylinders. The pitcher is also round and tall. It's VERY
cool looking and I did NOT notice a STAR TREK: COLLECTIBLES printed
on its side!!! Classy items USED by STAR TREK that don't SCREAM Star Trek.
THAT'S what I would like to see them come out with.

Chances are the glassware used on set was readily available

I would like a Saurian Brandy bottle. I would also buy a rolling chair shaped like Picard's command chair.

While we're at it, always wanted a lionfish.

Lion fish are a common salt water pet

I worked at a tropical fish warehouse and my older brother was stung by a lion fish one night.

He got a ride to the emergency room and was ok .

Fish pet of a warrior. Worf should have had one.

They have young ones at a pet store by my house. I figured not the best fish when you have kids.

If you like spacescapes, take a look at Michael David Ward's work at Lightspeed Fine Art.

The Lionfish Aquarium is a great idea, actually.
The kind of STAR TREK merchandise that I've been
talking about -  very cool and classy and relevant
to the STAR TREK fan, without beating you over the
head that it's STAR TREK. I think that's brilliant.
