Indeed, with GNU compiler in common Mac and Linux can run same apps eheeeheh

Anybody see the new Windows Metro interface? That's as close to LCARS that I've seen commercially (without personal modifications.)

I'd technically argue that the computers are neither Mac nor PC as the culture of the time period has done away with monetary concerns and therefore also corporate competition. What survives is the best technology usable by whatever technician develops it made accessable to whoever needs it. The original warp drive on Earth was developed by Dr. Cochrane... not GM or Toyota.

Probably both, but Macs probably have more fun and seem to be more creative.

i think that by the time the federation came around, the 2 companies had merged to create the best computer ever. user friendly, yet evil. then they gave the old macs to the borg to assimilate and become infected

Considering the reliability of the LCARS I'd think UNIX powered systems, the ease of use and friendly LCARS voice could tilt it to Mac, therefore my vote.
