Star Trek

We all have a favorite/least favorite species on Star Trek, what is yours? My favorite is Vulcan and my least favorite is Ferengi. (I can't stand them)

So yea, reply and stuff.

Not sure why this is in the TAS section...

But yeah, the Ferengi kinda suck (and not just cause the y represent the most capitalist aspects of our culture, lol). And my favorite species is, Andorians. Big surprise. But I loved Andorians till i saw one of them get hit in the face with:

To bad it turned out to be an Orion in disguise.

Pakleds are my least favorite, the give me the creeps. My favorite alein race do you really have to ask. Qapla'

My favorite species  would have to be... Cardassians!

I didn't really like the Kazon. Their hair really freaked me out.

Favourite: Borg - IMO, the frakkin ultimate bad guys! Loved them in TNG and VOY!
Least Favourite: I'll have to agree with lereds, the Kazon. But not 'coz 'their hair freaked me out', I just think the alien wasn't that interesting. They weren't unique... they were just the thugs of the Delta Quadrant. And they were far from being a formidable enemy for Voyager or any starfleet vessel. They were to 'Klingon-ee', all about honour in battle and all dat shiz. I did like Aaron Eisenberg's appearence as Kar in "Initiations", though.

Favorite- Vulcans  because they are the most peaceful and Vendorians.

Least Favorite- Andorians  and the Klingon's  in TOS cause they were both dicks.

I also liked the Capellans because they were funny.

Favorite Jem'Hadar, because they has this perfect order about them. I would love to be able to inplant my brain into a new body all the time, have some Species be the scientist and General Overseing all the soldiers and worker. Then invade and take over other worlds and countries.

I liked the Vulcans. They were Logical, understandable beings.

The klingons were cool too.

I hate the Ferengi. They were creepy.

My favorite? Humans!

My least favorite? Hmm, not sure I have a least favorite.

Interesting thing about the Ferengi popping up on most people's "least favorite" lists... I used to loathe the Ferengi as well. I mean, they didn't exactly get a good reputation on TNG.

However, after watching DS9 in its entirety, I freaking LOVE the Ferengi. Ha. I never thought I'd say that, but Ira Stephen Behr really worked his magic in making the Ferengi a truly charming and humorous species.

And Nog's evolution throughout DS9 showed Trek fans that even the Ferengi could be selfless and honorable.

my favorite would have to be a tie between tribbles (the awesomest puffball in the galaxy) and the Q.

second is the borg, third is klingon.

The Borg isn't really a species, is it? I mean, the Borg is made up of thousands (millions?) of assimilated species.

It seems to me the Borg is more of a technological "disease" or "infection" than a species...

Favorite is a tie between Romulan and Andorian

Least favorite used to be the Ferengi, though through DS9 I have learned to like some of them. Not a huge fan of Klingons, too predictable, seems every Klingon episode is the same as the last. The Kazon are pretty terrible, them and the Pakleds.

My favorite so far is Vulcan.  Don't have a least yet.
