Did you like La Forge better with a visor or without?

As an inspirational bit, I think the occular implants were far more visionary and sci-fi than the VISOR

I preferred him with the visor.  It gave him a sense of accomplishment.  A sense that he was able to overcome the odds and still be the best.

The eyes just say ..  hey check out these creepy new eyes.

The eyes say the same think, but more gracefully.  The ocular implants show a much more technologically advanced society that makes the handicapped so 'normal' they can't even be identified as handicapped.

If you were to go blind, which technology would YOU want?

I always thought they should have played up Geordi's blindness more than the walking-tricorder aspect. Would've made for some great character building. On one hand his blindness was oddly ignored, but on the other hand, it's the 24th century, of course it was ignored.

I reckon they got rid of it because of something to do with the arrival of the X-Men movies (which Stewart obviously also appeared in) and one of the characters being Cyclops - who had a similar and neat visor thing ...

he looked better with the visor, that what made the character in the first place, and I do have to agree with one of the other post and say that his new eyes just made him look odd.

It is not important do WE like him with/without the wisor, what is important is what HE likes more

WITH VISOR

If they gave him a VISOr to start out with, that's what he was used to, and why didn't they give him 'real' eyes in the first place if they could have?

I always liked the viosr; it was something that set him a part and made him unique. Plus, he's just not really Geordi without them.... I don't know, I just couldn't get used to seeing him without the visor.

I liked his new implants - I consider them an "upgrade" to his visor.  Hopefully they gave him less troubles.

having the visor makes tng feel a little more science fictiony than other series. however, i don't really much care for la forge's ability go see more than the human eye can.
