Far as I'm concerned, the world ends every Monday.
Have you ever danced with a Tribble in the pale moonlight?

Another one? The silliness will only end when humanity ceases to exist, an event that cannot be predicted down to a specific date, or even probably a specific year.
Jolan Tru, may your day be filled with peace.

Do I think the world is going to end on May 21? Heck no! The exact point is that when the Bible says no one knows the exact hour, and explains how the Lord will come like "a thief in the night", I don't have any reason to be worried. Just like 2012 and all that crap.
People can speculate as much as they want, but perhaps it's all out of fear. Of the unknown, perhaps, or just people who are bored with their lives and decide to terrorize people (with a movie, LOL, hint hint) into thinking they need to buy food to stock up and get into bomb shelters or whatever because they think the world is coming to an end. Give me a break.
And branching out from what 267198ed said up there^^^, I don't even think that SCIENTIFICALLY we could possibly predict what day or even year the world will end.
So rest your weary minds, 2012 and May 21 believers, you might be a bit embarassed when you wake up on December 22 or May 22 alive.
That's just my whole opinion on all this nonsense.

You are the one who is in for a big disappointment when you die and discover YOU ARE WRONG!!!!! WRONG!!!!! WRONG!!!!! and you are all dressed up with no where to go.
Sure the earth will end, in about 4000.000,000 years when the sun uses up all it's hydrogen and starts fusing helium, swells to become a red giant and engulfs Mercury and Venus and turns the earth into a barren dry cinder. And Jesus and your sky diety has nothing to do with it either.
And more than like mankind will have long since become extinct billions of years before this happens.

Judgement Day wouldn't neccessarily mean death. They didn't state on the billboards on the street or the decals on cars that I've seen that the world will end - just Judgement Day.
But at what time? Which time Zone? Does it start just as the Sun creeps past the international date line past midnight into the 21st, or does it happen just before the end of the day as the Sun creeps toward the international date line? (I know it's not the Sun that actually does the creeping - it's As The World Turns.)
Come on T95 - no one will laugh at the doom of others that follow Jesus.
When ST:TNG was searching for Data's head and Troi was talking to Mark Twain stating there was no more poverty on Earth, and since Jesus said you will always have the poor, I thought, "Oh, when Jesus reigns for 1000 years - THEN we'll be able to have our own Star Trek. Maybe just as we see on the show, with ships traveling at warp speed, and we can visit other life forms." It could happen!
"If Man is to survive, he will have learned to take delight in the essential difference between people and cultures"

I don’t mind end of world predictions For me and my company enjoy the extra work installing generators, solar panels, gates, storage facilities, and more. End of the world predictions can help the economy I’m all for it. Y2K was my best “end of the world” year to date I’m hoping that 2012 leads to many more jobs.

You know, this is why many of us won't take believers seriously. THey claim to believe in a loving god (one who says "judge not", btw - you may have missed that bit) and then act like pretentious children when someone questions their beliefs. As though just believing in a deity as opposed to, say, pink unicorns make it inviolate.
There's also the fact that the more fanatical seem to have a love affair with the exclamation mark. They seem to think that, somehow, lots of exclamation marks makes them more correct. Instead it makes them look more childish.
Just saying . . .

Well... you shouldn't have. The exclamation marks make it stand out by the way. And anyway when it says judge not it means for us not God. And people who don't believe are wrong just as you think we are. I guess we will never know....
|
Well I did.
Making the text bold gets the point across that it's important to you.
Underling gets the point across that it's important to you.
An exclamation mark makes the point that it's important to you.
Doing all three and adding multiple exclamation marks just gives the impression of a pretentious and sulky child refusing to do his homework.
The only thing missing is the stamping of the foot and the tears.
