Have you ever flown a kite in your entire lifetime?  Or is everyone glued to their computer screens with barely a step ever taken outside of their home?  I yearn for the simpler times......

I don't like kites. I prefer frizbees, badminton, walking, and kicking my old ball around.

Love them. Kind of wish I could be up their flying with them sometimes.
Now en days I just watch other people flying theirs in the park across the street or at some beach on river side. Its quite relaxing and it helps you think and contemplate.

When I was in elementary school we actually had a kite flying day where we could bring one to school and fly it and not have to do much else. those were fun days.

Are you sure it isn't time for a colorful metaphor?

No I have not. One time I tried but the wind was not strong enough. Must try again seeing as I live close to the beach.

Yes, a lot of work, but real cool once it's in the air.

Yes, I have. not in a while, but I have.

And what's with the "other" option? Isn't this a yes/no question?

There's a school down the street form my mothers house. I took my kite

And string I started letting it out At 3:30 PM and didn't get it down until

7:30Pm. I would take lunchbags and rubberbands and Paper clips send the bags up

to the kite, then release the bag. There was a Water tower two blocks from

the school and I landed the bag on the Catwalk of the Tower. Never been able to do it again.  My kite was made from paper sack.

Yes.  I was located on a beach, in a park and on a cliff top.

The first time I flew a kite the thing whipped round and smacked me in the face. That didnt put me off (the black eye was actually quite cool) but the kids laughing did.

The second time, first for my kids, the thing whipped around and... my reactions have improved... smacked me on the back of the head. I think I actually found it funnier than the kids and they were wetting themselves.

Having mastered the art of getting the kite up whilst avoiding serious injury were going for a personal best of keeping the thing flying for longer than 30 seconds.
