I personally would like to see a remake of Elite Force using the Doom 3 engine.

What would you like to see?

i would like to play a new away team game. i really liked the first one but it wasnt long enough. only six levels if i remember correctly. it had new charectors which i really liked alot.

also, you can never go wrong with a new armada game. i would like to play armada a two species at the same time. like federation/klingon, borg/romulan, or even vulcan/romulan would be interesting.

What I'd really like to see is a space combat game like Legacy that isn't tied to the Enterprise of any era. More of an in universe type of game where the player is free to pick and choose the entire fleet as they see fit. Some missions in Legacy were such that it was best to simply leave the Enterprise behind and complete the mission with another ship that is more suited to the task. The game would take place in the Enterprise era and the reset universe of TOS. The story line would follow the career of a Federation captain during the  events that lead up to the war between the Federation and the Klingon Empire.

Improvements I'd like to see over Legacy are:

Better voice acting and more voice actors. No more of having one guy voicing over half of the characters you communicate with.

Better modelling of ships, starbases and other structures. Also better performance data. In the various Star Trek series' bigger ships are faster but less maneuverable than smaller ships. The Enterprise, for example, can probably outrun a Miranda class ship but the Miranda is far more maneuverable so it could navigate through an asteroid belt easier than the Enterprise could. This should be properly reflected in the game. Explosions and damage should also look believable. The ships should not be venting atmosphere from a hull breach for half of the mission.

How about a game that is like Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy only you are an agent of Section 31, the Tal Shiar, or the Obsidian Order? You have a list of missions you can choose from and you run around completeing them.

Are you sure it isn't time for a colorful metaphor?

LIKE! Yeahhp, this is a good idea IMO. It should be the three (Sec31, TalShiar, ObsOrder) versus each other. And whichever group you choose, you follow a different storyline and arrive at a different outcome. And it should be made into 'your game', if you get what I mean.
Anyone played swKnights of the Old Republic? Yea, well, you pretty much create your own character and he follows his own path, a path you lay out for him when you make him do certain things (eg, killing someone makes him more aggressive).
That's make a boss online game too!

Something, ANYTHING that includes the ability to walk around a ship to perform your duties. Say at the beginning of the game you get to decide which career path interests you (Engineering, Command, Medical, etc.) and also choose from a vessle type to serve on. From there, a storyline unfolds from your character's point of view depending on which career path your chose.

The game wouldn't have to be combat based, but rather each 'mission' could play out like an episode where your character has to perform certain tasks (also depending on career path) either on the ship or on away missions to proceed through the game. I think the career path thing would allow for a more dynamic feel and let the player see things unwind from several different viewpoints.
