"Worst" and "Best" really is a matter of opinion. But the Voyager and DS9 storylines have been extended and combined in the subsequent books. I have not read any VOY relaunch, so can't particularly comment on their quality but I have seen many good extensions of the DS9 story, dealing particularly with the aftermath of the Dominion War.

They could not have made a further season of Voyager. Once they're home, they're home... But that's why I still think a crossover movie could work -- you wouldn't need every character and you could combine them in interesting ways and see how they interact in the future political backdrop. Of course it is extremely unlikely to happen but other series are every bit as alive into the future as the original.

There's a heap of material that could be food for more stories.

I'm with Ceci, where ST09 failed to me was it wasn't cerebral enough. Got the action right. Good characters. But trek needs to make me think, Star Wars doesn't.

Sorry, MR, there are dozens of Star Trek shows designed to make you "think" and sadly most of those are mind - numbing, dull, and terrible.

When you are in a fictional universe where the science is mostly made up, any time you have a "cerebral" show it is mostly techno babble.

The 24th century is tapped out.

Other than novels, it is time to move on to a new Trek concept.

The only animated series that I could see as being somewhat interesting is a Titan series, seeing as they are in the unexplored areas of the Beta Quadrant.

I dunno, I thought trek09 was one of the best things to happen in Star Trek for a long time because they didn't try to make you think, it was just popcorn action from start to finish. Cmon, thats really what the movies are all about. Ship battles, consoles blowing up, characters dying and being revived, dramatic tension (in the case of the Shat, campy over acting, in the case of Picard, actual good acting). Its no wonder that the most beloved trek films all had great pacing, a good enough plot and good action, II-IV,VI,FC,09. If its a more cerebral theme I'm looking for I'll turn to the tv shows which I think transmit that theme far more powerfully then a 2 hour film with a big budget can. On that note I really hope they dish out a quality tv show in the near future, while I love the movies and what JJ's done for them, trek for me is really about relaxing for an hour once a week and watching what trouble the crew has gotten into this time

I admit this movie is a fast pace movie, but far from what Trek should be, this movie is in the same leage Machete and other brainless action Flic mind you brainless is OK for Machete.

I can think of one or two other things that are "brainless" right off the top of my head, jamsespock.

Is there anything else in life that makes you happy besides blasting ,critisizing, humiliating, and all the other nice things you can say to posters that don't agree with you.

Anyway what you say has no importances or meaning what so ever, all you do is show us how elocant your conversations are and how much it touches a nerve when posters are negetive to your emotional views of Trek.
