I've just finished reading about the Klingons - A Burning House by K.DeCandido - and would now love to read something with the Vulcans as central characters. I'm NOT looking for anything too Spock related. Any recommendations? Please include: Title, Author and a short (one sentence is fine) review/summary.

I highly suggest "Spock's World" by Diane Duane.
