The only radio I listen too is the local NPR affiliate.

The NYC Metro area has a plethora of radio stations--far too many to list here--but here are some of my faves:

WCBS-FM (101.1) - Oldies from the 60's, 70's & 80's. My one criticism of this station is that I wish they would play more of the really old stuff--I'm talking Fats Domino, Elvis, Buddy Holly, etc.

WPLJ (95.5) - Adult contemporary. I can only take this station in short bursts, as they do tend to be a bit repetetive with their music, but I do like their morning show.

WXRK (104.3) - The classic rock station.

WCBS-AM (880) - News, weather, and sports, plus all the Yankees games.

WFAN (660) - Sports talk-radio, plus all the Mets games.

I usually try to listen to local college radio, 88.5 WXPN (University of Pennsylvania) or 103.3 WPRB (Princeton). Really cool station I tune into on the way to NY is 91.1 WFMU.

There's a kind of freedom in being totally screwed, you know things can't get any worse.

We have a lot. I hate most of them. We're thinking of creating our own.

>In Albuquerque 90.7 FM is KLOVE - Christian music - positive and encouraging.

I used to listen to KLOVE (its 88.3 here) but it sounds like they just play the same 30 songs over and over again.

I dont listen to any local radio stations (I don't think there is any where i live), but I do listen to 95.1 which is mostly modern music and 102.3 which is 80s music.

The needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few or the one.
