Uhhhh... no. Vulcan's destruction was pointless and I didn't care, which I should have. I'm afraid AUEarth's will be just as pointless, quick and stupid. So, nopeee.

Oh, iBorg, what happened to your old avatar? This is ST.com. You're using the wrong "the Doctor"!

I'm not sure about Earth. But I wouldn't mind someone getting rid of Bajor. Honestly though, if they started just picking off planets all the time things would just turn into Battlestar, like someone said. It was good for a once-off but they shouldn't milk it.

I think we've seen enough planetary destruction already. Genesis popped like a pimple, Ceti Alpha VI simple exploded, Species 8472 blew up a Borg world, Xindi superweapon tests turned at least one planet into rubble, and of course Romulus and Vulcan were both destroyed. Added to that the future that was averted in which the Xindi destroyed every human world, including Ceti Alpha V and Earth itself. I don't think we need to see any more destroyed worlds, at least not for a good long while.

This would violate everything that ST is about.

Having some big bad guy show up to blow up planets is getting too close to what Star Wars does. Do anyone remember when Star Trek shows used to be about explorers?

Are you sure it isn't time for a colorful metaphor?

It is curious how often you humans manage to obtain that which you do not want. - Spock
