In many ways Voyager is my favorite, I loved their characters but as many have no doubt gripped about before the events of the last two seasons and parts of the fifth just about spoiled the whole series for me.

When the show became less of an essemble and more of a trio. Janeway, Seven, the Doctor.

Weak episodes that were about nothing. It was almost as if they started to mock themselves, its was as if they forgot how to be serious and even their attempts felt like parodies of early days.

Borg everywhere!

They could have done some serious stuff with holographic rights but they played with it.

Things became easy, they started to bend the rules. They had power, parts, and crew for days. Shields and warp drive couldn't take ONE hit from ONE alien vessel when once upon a time it could hold its own against 10 Kazon ships.

Lets do out of character and down right impossible things just for the sake of this one episode and then contradict ourselves or 40 years of Trek continuity in the next episode.

Security teams and and computer safeguards were about as effective as tin foil bullet proof vests.

Emergency Command Hologram...

Poor Neelix, Chakotay, Tuvok, and Harry they all but became useless trotted out to fill space between Seven, Janeway, or EMH scene. Tom and B'Elanna at least got screen time cause they need a little drama.

Q2... Itchy and Qball or what the hell ever those nicknames were. I had a thing   for old Icheb but it just fest forced. So didactic it felt like a lesson for grade school children.

Am I being too hard. Do you agree? What if anything did I miss?

I want to see a character that isn't labeled as 'gay' have a nice, normal romance with no hint of prejudice, no allegory and no message at all. Just put it there, like it happens all the time and no one gives a damn, which is exactly how it should be. I don't want a story about how no one understands them or how society isn't accepting, just have it happen. ~ SLagonia

Not everyone in the Delta Quadrant had the same level of firepower.

I agree with some of the other stuff above. I think the writers did use Jeri Ryan a little too often. They never crammed Kes down our throats the way Seven was.

I must agree with DocFnFive's assessment in this area. But the rest is true. Not that i didn't like the fact that The Doctor became a more important character...

Definately think you're being way too hard.

I completely disagree that the show became about three characters. Each character had at least one episode devoted to them a season.  But with Chakotay....well if I was a writer for the show and the actor goes on every interview he can and bashes the show and the writers and brags abot how he doesn't even bother to read the scripts anymore....well I wouldn't write big parts for him.

I thought the ECH was awesome, and come on, there was one episode where it was a day dream, and then one episdoe where it was actually used. It's not like they used it all the time.

I don't know what out of character and "impossible" things you're talking about, cn  you please provide examples?

The Kazon were a weaker species, their ships were weaker and voyager could take more hits fom them. Different aliens have different levels of weapons so obviously there are time when she could take 10 hits, and times when she could only take one.
