The best Star Trek film, now and always, is WRATH OF KHAN.  Just is.  Don't see this being topped.

RBlaine, thank you so much for cluing me in to The Pool Boys!  One frackin' funny film!  Billingsley and Takei were hilarious, as wes the whole film.

I love watching Trek actors in other projects, and this is one worthy to see. Catch it on PPV!

Ah, its working now

The Animated series is excellent, but im not sure whether id consider it `canon' or not - should it be stacked alongside other cartoon dvds, or alongside the rest of ST? Paramount didnt seem to consider it canonical (even to the point of objecting to characters from it appearing in DC's ST comic of the 80s). Anyway, stand-out eps include `Yesteryear', `The Ambergris Element', `The Practical Joker', `The Magicks of Megas-Tu' and `The Time Trap'. The weakest include `One of our Planets is Missing', `The Survivor', and `Beyond the Farthest Star'. It struck me watching `The Lorelei Signal' what a great ep of TOS it would have made - it would have been unusual to see so many female crewmembers in one story.
