I am hoping to go to the Las Vegas convention this year (first convention!), and if I go I will most certainly have a costume!   But just wondering, are there enough people that go who dress up that if you DIDN'T, would you feel left out?

Not sure about the Vegas con, would expect that many of the attendees dress up, but is it a rare occasion that anyone feels left out at any Con, regardless of costume or lack there of.

I think about 15% of people at Emerald City Comicon dressed up, about 2% of those people were in Trek garb.

...But Vegas is... well, Vegas.

Best costumes I’ve found so far. If you want better (or Romulan) you have to make them yourself.

Many people were in costume at the Chicago Trek convention last year, I didn't feel left out... I did feel jealous but not left out lol either way the Trek crowd as a whole is very non-judgemental so you'll be fine.

Elim Garak: Remember: it's not just Tain we're looking for. The Maryland, the Proxima, the Sarajevo, Starfleet ships that have been lost in the Gamma Quadrant for years; and their crews - brave soldiers, warriors of the Federation unaccounted for... We owe it to them to do everything in our power to find them and bring them home. It's the honorable thing to do. Worf: You use that word, but you have no idea what it means. Elim Garak: Maybe not. But you do.

You don't have to wear a uniform .

But you will not be the only one in a Uniform.

Many wear several over the days of the Con.

I was playing cards in the main Casino in uniform and winning.

She's -un-dead, Jim.

But, this is just the first version of it. I'm, actually, thinking of slicing it open more in the front..I just have to figure out what sport of wound make up to put under it, if I do. >.>

Ahhhh u people have no idea how lucky you are. I am STUCK in a family of anti-trekkies! My dad has the nerve to like Star Wars better.....I would absolutely positively love to go to a convention, dress up, and be among fellow trekkies.....but...I cannot....sadly.

Haha..it's not the Star Trek 09 costume..it's actually the crappy Rubies TOS uniform that I destroyed. I'm half interested in getting a decent made one to not tear up...but, only half. I don't go to many cons where I could wear it and get away with it.

Haha my parents swear they were big Trekkies "back in the day", but I seriously don't believe them. My dad just randomly found some Star Trek on TV when I was like 3, and it went from there.
