Face Of The Enemy. I think this is one of Troi's better episodes considering the stakes. She was forced into a high pressure situation and proved she could handle it.
Some of my favorite things about this episode:
Her face is priceless when she first turns on the lights and sees that she has been altered to appear Romulan.
Her episode long battle with the unwilling Romulan Commander Toreth.
Her having to impersonate an unfeeling Tal Shiar officer, which is the complete opposite end of the spectrum from who she really is (the caring ship's counselor). Troi is excellent at making herself into the badass that everyone fears to disobey.
"You find a way to let the Enterprise track us, or I will go to Toreth and tell her you are a traitor! I'll have you ejected into space! IS THAT CLEAR SUB COMMANDER?"

the one with the cleavage.
hahahahhahhaaa...
sorry to do this but... she has the sexiest hips for a woman with no butt what-so-ever. how did that happen?
"Do you think it's possible for two people to go back in time and correct a mistake that never should have happened?" ... "On this ship, anything is possible."

She does have some very nice birthing hips! You're right about that. And, before her implants, her headlights were quite spectacular. You know, I never did really care for those catsuits they made her wear. She wore a Skant though, like none other. Just take a look ...

I would've loved it, if they kept her just like that for the entire series!

SHe indeed fills out the skant better than Tasha at the end of the Farpoint episode. And she filled out the duty outfit rather well too.
Never liked her frizzy her from the premiere or the tight bun from the catsuits. She looked her best with it loose in the later seasons when she switched to the duty unifrom.

I have no great preference. I tended to accept her for what she was. They only really made the character more serious in the later seasons and films. Which was the episode where she lost her empathic powers? That was quite good.

Night Terrors is certainly a favorite of mine but I also like Thine Own Self. I wish Thine Own Self had taken place a few seasons earlier though, It was good to see Deanna wanting to take on more of a command role.

Ok, Jean-Luc's performance at the end of Menage A Trois was probably one of the funniest moments in the entire series, especially with a very amused Riker looking on as Picard quotes Shakespeare, then threatens to blow the Ferengi ship straight to hell. THAT was epic.
