I've already met and got to keep my one. ~.^

But, if I had to choose another, probably Leonard Nimoy. But, only if it were a true, sit down sort of meeting. not a quick thing at a con or sommat.

Well, I already met Brent Spiner, and of course I would love seeing him again, but I would really love to meet Patrick Stewart or Leonard Nimoy.... Or George Takei. And a few of those who are no longer with us T_T

Jolan Tru, may your day be filled with peace.

I would've like to have met Deforest Kelly, but since that can't happen I'd choose Patrick Stewart.

what about Shatner, who has done all the above, or even Frakes who, though i am not sure about the writing, has definatly acted, produced, and directed several Trek episodes and movies (both trek and non trek related). or is this just a preference to meet Nimoy?

BTW, though i did get a chance to meet Majel Barret once, my current choice at this time is Scott Bakula, as both my wife and i watched Quantum Leap, and it would be something that we can share (as she is not much of a trek fan).

What about them? Frakes has never written or produced Trek movies or episodes. Shatner has no producer credits.

So, my original statement stands: Nimoy is the only Trek big-shot ever to act, write, produce, and direct Trek. He's also appeared in 3 "incarnations" of Trek (TOS, TNG, JJVerse). There's nobody in the franchise with that resume, and there's noobdy I'd rather meet if I had only one choice.

Not sure why that was so difficult for you.

I would loved to have met Deforest Kelley. And I kick myself for missing a con that James Doohan was at. If you get a chance to meet someone you've wanted to meet I say take it.

Are you sure it isn't time for a colorful metaphor?

One year during college, I worked at a local Barnes and Noble bookstore. I was out for a week during finals, and when I came back, I learned that James Doohan was signing copies of his autobiography / memoir, and that personnel from the store had already been selected to assist him (it was at an off-site location), and I was scheduled to work in the store and would not be able to attend. Nobody would switch with me, and certainly those who had the luck to be the ones assisting would not either.

I'll never forget that feeling as long as I live. What an opportunity that would have been.
