I'll be honest, some of the part episodes I'd love to see extended and made into a movie specifically 'The Year of Hell' as it's my favourite episode. (When Janeway destroyed Voyager to restore the timeline my heartbroke slightly)

My question to all of you is what would you expect if Voyager were to star in a Star Trek movie?

I would expect it to be the lowest-grossing Star Trek movie in the franchise.

That's not a personal attack against the series. It's just a reality. If the popular TNG cast couldn't draw lots of moviegoers, Voyager would have no chance at all.

ANYTHING From TNG, Voyager or Enterprise would make a great movie OTHER THAN THAT HORRENDOUS FULL OF CRAP DRIBBLE Star Trek MOVIE BY that ego driven NUT-man JJ ABRAMS, WE need to get back to good Star Trek TNG and Voyager is our only hope.

Oh you can just count on me to bring in all the money. I would make an investment and watch it like 100,000 times. Just kidding, I'd be broke. My point is, I'd totally watch it! And I really really wish there was a Voyager movie even if it wouldn't do that well. I would buy it even if it was crappy. Cuz that's just what Trekkies do, ya know?

Don't pay attention to that, Janeway, a Voyager movie would ROCK, the thing is, since that new bogus Star Trek movie came out some fans feel that their  obligated to LOVE it when they know it was GARBAGE, hopefully the next movie will bomb and those idiots at Paramount will come to their senses and give us Voyager and TNG.

Yeah, I understand it wouldn't make much money but it was definitely due.

They could have used a movie to round off the series, like the writes of Farscape did. End Game could have been dragged out as a movie I'm sure, I'd still love it if the Year of hell was dragged out as a movie too.

Basically, I just want a VOY movie, instead of the drivel they pilled out in 09.

I think a lot of fans are under the mistaken assumption that every series is entitled to a movie franchise, since TOS and TNG went that way.

I'm under no mistaken assumptions, I genuinely think they could have made some of their doubled episodes into movies. I didn't say I wanted them to make a VOY movie because it was unfair TOS and TNG got.

This topic is just speculation as it is because they wouldn't get the original cast back together to make a movie and there would be no point recasting it because most people now weren't old enough to remember it and if they were, they weren't big fans. If you pull 10 random people from the street and ask them what their favourite star trek era is about 6/7 will say they didn't like it and about 2 will say TNG because it's the one most people will remember and the remaining two will probably (if you're lucky and pull someone of the right age) say TOS.

Another poorly thought out fabrication of course of assumed facts based only on a singular view of self indulgence.

But if I had to project the odds, which is the best any one could due, TOS would once again come out on top as being the most remembered Star Trek. Age of a person has little to do with it.

A poll here on the subject has little baring on actual numbers since only a small fraction of the fan base actually visit or post on this site. There are un told millions world wide who never visit this site. Doesn't make them any less important...but shows they have more important concerns in their lives.

Better indicators come from conventions, which have typically shown TOS as being the front runner to the dismay of the die hard TNG fans. The problem most TNG have is realizing they can't up stage a classic and TNG never will.

It is my belief that TNG briefly enjoyed a leading position merely because TOS wasn't re-created sooner.

Syndication of TNG was a wise move, because selling the program to a hundred mini markets instead of one network helped maintain it's ratings. Had it been on a single network, TNG would have been canceled sooner even then TOS.

But I must point out, that had NBC used the new Nelson rating system a few weeks earlier before TOS was canceled, they would have discovered Star Trek was a hit with just the target audience they were after .Unfortunately that did not happen until it was too late and once the cancel order went out, the sound stages were in fact broken down with in days.

I'd love a movie about Voyager, but it's just not going to happen. For one thing, I don't think they'd be able to come up with a decent plot. Another thing, the actors are getting old. And yes, I agree with those of you who say that a Voyager movie wouldn't have enough people watching it. Really, it won't happen. They'll just keep making movies for the Alternate Universe.

Goodbye. I am gone.

i always thought this would be a great idea. i think my favorite episode was that two parter that had the actor that played Red Forman from that 70's show. i cant remember the name of the episode, sorry. it was the one were his wife had died and he stored her memory into a computer or something. I really liked his ship. i thought it was cool that he was able to be the only person on a ship that large and still manage to captain the vessel.

it had some really emotional scenes between janeway and the forman dudes charactor. i only saw this episode once, sorry for the lack of detail.

"Do you think it's possible for two people to go back in time and correct a mistake that never should have happened?" ... "On this ship, anything is possible."
