THANK YOU! garrr, I totally just skimmed right over that. I was in season 6! That reminds me, Fistful of Datas was a funny one. I don't remember, was that one where you really had to understand Trek to get it?

Ah... I think it helped, but it is a possibility.

I wanted to add the one where that probe makes Barclay super smart and take to Enterprise to that planet, but then he isn’t a main character, so there’s discontinuity issues there too.

But a similar epsiode, Where No One Has Gone Before might be good, but I’m not too sure about that. Do the plot and cool goings-ons outweigh the cheesy parts?

Yeah, I think so. I remember that episode not being too bad.

WHATEVER YOU DO, don't watch "Shades of Grey". You might get them just a tad confuzzled......

Aww man there was one that I was just going to suggest, but it left me. Maybe I'll remember it later.........

XD lol, no no, I am sticking to pretty much stand alone episodes. Going through the episode guide right now, so many good ones! I am writing quite a few down, and then after I go through all the seasons I’ll cut it down to about 10 episodes.

Had to add Who Watches The Watchers, I don’t know why, but that one always stuck out in my mind.

Also wrote down Hide and Q, just because I think we need to see something of him, though I might not keep it.

I think I’ll probably watch all the episodes again to make sure the list is really good.

I don't know if you wanna watch this one, but "Deja Q" is actually one of my faves. I found it hilarious.

This probably wouldn't be a good one either, but one that sticks in my mind is "Schisms", for no real reason. I just like that one because it's kind of weird, eerie, slightly disturbing, and kind of that real science-fiction thing, you know, like people getting abducted by aliens every night.

And because Data recites his infamous "Ode to Spot" (my all-time favorite poem!!!) in that episode.

...I fell asleep watching Schisms XD And the first time I saw it I missed the beginning 3/4ths completely so I’ve never seen it all the way through. Another epsiode that literally put me to sleep was Suddenly Human. Ugh.

And Deja Q is season two, plus it really really needs backstory. Same with Tapestry, sadly, otherwise I would add that one because it is really grand.

Oh yeah Suddenly Human was kinda boring. The only thing that really interested me in that episode is that Chad Allen, who plays Matthew on Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (if you know what the heck I'm talking about) was that kid.

Another one that put me to sleep was "Booby Trap".

And I always think its funny because my mom was like seriously disturbed or something by that one where Riker was in the insane assylum. Just like she is by species 8472. The only species that really scares me are the Cardassians, and I seriously have noooo idea why, but that's probably why me and DS9 didn't get along.

Lol, me and DS9 didn’t get along because of the Ferengi! But, then it has been so, so many years since I actually watched it, I am willing to give it another chance.

The ending of Booby Trap is so dumb! You think it’ll be all cool because they have to let the computer simulation is going to save them, and Geordi wasted all that power for the simulation, just to find out they have to take to computer offline and do it them damn selves X_X

Anyways, I think I am done with the list, unedited, in order of appearance:

1.Where No One Has Gone Before

2.Hide and Q

3.The Big Goodbye

4.The Neutral Zone

5.Who Watches The Watchers

6.The Enemy*

7. The Defector

8.The Hunted

9.First Contact

10.Darmok*

11.Cause and Effect*

12.The Inner Light

13.Timescape

The ones with stars are the ones I am for sure keeping on the list. Other than that I really do not know. I also realized the season one got some serious representation! Not sure how long the list will be now, probably less than 10 for sure.

Ok, it’s 3am, and besides that, I think I’ll sleep on this and see what people have to say in the morning.

Jolan Tru, may your day be filled with peace.

Oh yeah, Cause and Effect, I forgot about that one! Timescape was pretty good too.

I remember something that happened in school the other week when we were talking about metaphors in literature, then I made some very detailed reference to "Darmok", about how their language is basically metaphorical.

.......... I was greeted by blank faces and "Ok! Let's get back on topic!"

No one understands me.

Not picking (Awesome Avatar, BTW) but I do not agree with "The Big Goodbye" and think it could actually turn fans off. I would recommend "Haven" instead if constrained to 1st Season TNG, but still that risk.

HOWEVER, ST IV Movie is an EXCELLENT suggestion. It is widely credited as highest cross-over appeal and helped launch TNG series. I think my ST moment was watching that movie with extended family Thanksgiving 1986.
