If you could pick any place in the world to go right now, where would it be and what would you be doing?

Yeah. If anyone had wanted me to I would've dropped what I was doing and buggered off to Christchurch and volunteer to help shovel silt. Tried to do something useful, anyway. But then what can you do??

And if I still been living in Matsuyama... Well unrealistic. All we can do really is to keep saying Minna san, ganbatte -- ashita, hareru deshou. Perhaps our best strengths from a distance is to continue to support people's efforts at getting back morale.

We had a load of snow yesterday. Wanna come and visit? Move to Sweden and you´ll have snow for two months in a row - longer the farther you move up north!

Interesting question. Lots of places where I´d want to be...

First of all Ireland. Just been there (Dublin) for a weekend for a job fair, and I completely fell in love with what I´ve seen from the country. Especially the cliffs in Killiney!

Other choices: the Januarian Embassy - it´s from my favourite (Dutch) book: a place where time does not exist. With a huge library containing all the books ever published. Boy, there I could have a true reading orgie...

Or anywhere in the world - every place is interesting in its own way. Except the one where you are (Yes, I tend to suffer from the "grass in the neighbour´s yard" - complex  when it comes to my location...)

Post-disaster helping - where you can make a real and appreciated difference instead of spending your days begging closed-minded and snobby employers to give you a job.

Or back to university/college, and get a degree in my (many) other areas of interest. I´d love that!

And as someone else suggested, too: I´d like to go back in time to around the fifties, when life was so much calmer and less complicated...

This is all great stuff. Konarciq, it's so funny that you mention the grass is greener complex because I have been thinking about that a lot lately. I am currently studying in the Caribbean and I find myself really ready to go back home lol- but why would I complain? I totally got to miss the rigid winter and all of the muddy spring showers..... life's funny that way I guess.

In Southern California, with my two best friends in the universe, A and W (people, not the food place). Or, Las Vegas, where my mother lives. Just about any place with sunshine, at the moment. Feels like it's been forever since I've seen it. -.-

LOL Well, look at it this way: wouldn´t life be utterly boring if you´d have nothing left to wish for?

I love the quote in your signature by the way!

I would go back to LA just before Robert Kennedy was shot and kick Sirhan Sirhan in the Nutz.

The Temporial Police would have a field day with me if they could stop me ... cause I'd stop a whole series of political disasters that started from that point...no Nixon, maybe no Reagan, a Vietnam War ending years earlier.

Then again.... it's all a crap shoot.

I'd still bet we would be on the Moon and Mars by now.  Just to be sure, I bet I could find Senator Proxmire and .... double our chances
