Great line. I just watched the episode it was something they could have ever done on TV  with TOS FX.

At less than 30 min it is a nice Trek fix

I would have loved to see this episode redone on Voyager.

When they visited the all water planet, it would have been cool to see one or more of the crew remade. It was neat to see DNA and genetic science (which was still coming into its own in the 70's) get so much screen time.

And they managed to mix in a specialized shuttle, a neat alien monster, and Shatner managing to overact with just his voice.

Good stuff.

I liked the ending - reminded me of the idea of raising the Library of Alexandria.

Indeed. What a neat concept for a novel.

Cool that they have an amphibious shuttle in this episode.  It is too bad this world wasn’t named Pacifica or the planet Pacific in the novels named Ambergis, this planet and its people are a lot like the Pacificans and would have made a nice connection between the two.

Why are Kirk and Spock swimming in boots?  And they have webbed hands but don’t use them to swim.  They also can survive a long time in air with gills.

Spock and Kirk go to the natives for help because they can’t reach a certain depth.  Next scene, they are swimming there, LOL.

Kirk blatantly breaks the PD bringing the fish people aboard his ship.

I REALLY like this episode.  Another one of the best with an interesting sci-fi story that can’t be told in a live-action episode.  It reminded me a lot of “Over a Torrent Sea” which is one of my favorite Trek novels.
