If you have nothing against Tribbles, then what criteria do you use to call it pointless?

This was a very good episode!

that would explain it - that was the main weakness of the episode - having the tribbles a uniform (and not very pleasant) colour made them less likeable for me

I'm all for diversity in the workplace but having someone who is color blind involved in color selection is just plain stupid.

Though this episode isn't the best, it is still good, much like Trouble With Tribbles.  Also, it fits in well with canon since Trials and Tribble-ations showed the Klingons wiped out Tribbles in an extermintation campaign.

All Klingons rule.  TOS Klingons rule the Universe. Enough said.

"Star Trek" was, is, and will always be "Star Trek" (as in the original series). "The Next Generation" is a spectacular show that I more or less consider equal to the original, and DS9 is pretty good (albeit far overrated by many). The first 8 movies are fine by me too!

Well that makes much more sense.

Still, TAS came out in the 70's which was a decade pretty much void of any new Star Trek at all, save for books and conventions. Many say that TAS helped keep Star Trek going in the 70's until the movies started being made.
