In an uncharted region of space where Federation and Klingon vessels have been reported missing every 27 years, the male crew members are suduced by hallucinations of beautiful women. With the men folk rendered unconscious or ineffective by the sirens,Uhura assembles an all female landing party to take control of the situation.

yea - with the female crew members saving them.  Also reminds me of a combination of "Elaan of Troyius" and "Favorite Son" and saved the same way Dr. Pulaski was in "Unnatural Selection"

I appreciated the real effort put into giving the female members of the crew both time in the command chair and a "heroic" role in several of these episodes.

If a starship disappears at a specific moment in a certain sector every several years, exploration charter or not, I wouldn’t want to be there.  At that moment something happens and they aren’t suspicious?  They should be glad there are women aboard.  Sulu has a big smile on his face so clearly gay men are not immune.

This place is the Castle Antrax!  Guess they left the grail shaped beacon on.  They all want spankings, Captain.

Not a very original plot.  Women have always drained the life force of men, lol.

Interesting that Spock contacts Chapel, not Uhura, telepathically.  I think we know who he favors.

They have a computer that can locate Kirk and his men.  Funny that they use it when the people are looking to save Kirk but the women didn’t think to use it earlier when they were hunting them down.  The solution is also lame, they use the transporter to rebuild the aged crew members in their younger forms according to their old stored pattern, but if this can work, why don’t they stick all mortally wounded crewmen in the transporter.  Further, the computer doesn’t store patterns, too much memory involved.

I don’t like this episode.  These murderous women change their ways on their own with no force or discusiion?  Then they are given transport to another world and are so grateful.  WHY HAVE THEY NEVER THOUGHT TO DO THIS!?!

However, would have made a nice TOS episode since it would have required lots of beautiful women.  Also, Uhura shines in it.  She shows her command abilities; it was nice to see her in charge.
