The writers of trek could go that way, but that wouldve been too easy. The borg gave TNG a good storyline to go on.

I wouldve loved to see Q snap the borg outta existence (: wish it was that easyy!

I've always wondered if the Borg know of the Q and want to try to assimilate them in some way, whatever way that may be since I doubt they could.

Are you sure it isn't time for a colorful metaphor?

Well there was one Voyager episode, Q2, where his son is playing around with the Borg, and Q comes and says in a really stern voice:

"If the Continuum's told you once, they've told you a thousand times, DON'T PROVOKE THE BORG."

I don't know what that had to do with it, but I guess the Borg are more than Q can handle or something. I don't know.

Hmm. The Borg the only thing the Q fear? John-Luc has an advantage then. Same with Kathryn, 7, Tuvoc, and Torres

LOL I love how ppl are all liek "Borg >>>>> Continuum" just because Q told his son not to mess with the Borg. God, if the leaps in logic were any bigger we'd have to start equipping Trekkies with rocket-powered backpacks.

I think it was less because the Q fear the borg as they fear the repercussions by the borg on lesser races. The Q are immortal, they would hardly have to fear half-organic, half-machine beings.

Why would the Q even be motivated to remove the Borg from existance?

obvoiusly they woudn't want to "snap" the borg out of existance. Q introduced the Borg to the Federation in the first place, so why would he want to get rid of them?

Good point... the Borg are meant to be a thorn in the Federation's side. And while we're at it, Q owes Data a favor... Q needs to snap him back into existence.

could you imagine how powerful the borg would become if they successfully assimilated a Q?

I don't see how they could contain him... but that's what good writing is for.
