After watching both movies multiple times, I finally saw that there were remarkable similarities between the two! Did Rick Berman deliberately do that??? Or was it purely coincidental??? Here are the similarites I found:
~ Two villians who both spent a long period of time in an undesirable place, but eventually they get their own ship, a loyal crew, and the ablility to escape and continue on with their lives.
~ They both get into crazy revenge and mess around with the captains of the Enterprise.
~ Eventually they all end up in a battle in a nebula where communications are disrupted, as is their ability to accurately shoot at each other.
~ Then the second most important character in Star Trek sacrifies himself so that a doomsday device won't kill the crew of the Enterprise.
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Anyway, I loved the Wrath of Khan, but I wasn't too crazy about Nemesis, just cause Data died!!!!!!!! Anyway, what do you think about all this?

Even after Data's death they hinted at his resurrection in B4, which seems very similar to McCoy having Spock's Katra.
Nemesis has some nice scenes but overall I found it a very disappointing end to the TNG movies. The Next Gen crew should have went out on a high. Plot similarities to TWOK were some of Nemesis' problem.
Who am I to argue with the captain of the Enterprise?

Berman learned some good lesons about Trek and some bad ., Re use of props saves money and can work well in the series and films not so much for scripts in series and films

My thoughts exactly. It was supposedly meant to be some kind of homage but turned out to be nothing but a cheap ripoff since Trek at the time was creatively bankrupt.

Actually, I watched the movie before I watched the Redlettermdia review......... and I noticed those things first. But Plinkett noticed them too. Must be obvious.

I see the "delete post" option in some forums, but not in others. It's something with the way the forums are setup. I'm not surprised either; these Zetaboards are buggier than shit.
