I would not think of making an attempt on your Dreamland CD. I value my fingers. Recently, I've been appreciating the work Brent did in "1776, the Musical"... take a listen to the video for a sample of the rich voice he lent to John Adams. Astonishing power in his fine, strong voice.

I just won his first CD on eBay, finally, the seller wanted too much outside of bidding, so I took my chances and it was well worth it, saved over $30!

And now I shall not spend any money until Comic Con! I’ll even be saving my pennies!

I love "Sit Down, John" because Brent's voice is so much more... well, it's just got a lot more strength. He was talking about it in an interview. Very interesting. Since he'd played Data with a soft voice for so long, his voice had weakened. After rehearsals for "1776", he was hoarse and sore. He became terrified that he was losing his voice... but fortunately, it was only growing stronger.

Weird note: I'd gotten away from watching Brent for about a decade there... not a thought in my mind, normally. Then, last month, I woke up after dreaming about him. I was sitting across a table talking to Brent in what looked like a cafeteria, with a counter of some kind behind him. Have no idea what we talked about, but it was a pleasant conversation. No biggie.

Afterward, the dream spurred me search out Brent Spiner things again. I found a wealth of new material online that I'd never seen... and then I ran into this video. The first vid is the exact scene I saw in my dream... and he's talking about DREAMS in it. Freaky. As I watched it, his message of "Take a chance" really burned into my head. Maybe that's all I needed to hear.

Anyway, it was very very strange to see exactly what had caused me to seek him out. That particular dream. Forgive me for bookmarking it here, but it means something to me. That's why I'm here.

That’s quite a coincidence, I started exploring the Brent Spiner universe after having a dream about him too.... what a small world we do indeed live in.

I also quite liked that Dreamland is about taking chances, since I rarely do, I have felt extremely inspired by in as of late. Things are bound to be changing soon. Brent really does deserve his own appreciate thread, and much more I believe.

Exactly! That's the message I've taken away. "Take a chance"... what can it hurt? He's right. We are far more adventurous and brave in our dreams, doing things there that we'd never do in real life, but why not? You too, huh? That is very strange indeed.
