Oh gracious.... I hated that character. His girlfriend, I mean. I don't know why I didn't like her, it just seemed like she didn't deserve him. Maybe I was just mad because I was wondering why anyone would dump Data, especially after all the sweet things he did for het after he got to know her. Whoever the actor was who got to play her was lucky for various reasons..... *dreamy sigh*

Edit: ^^^ Wow. Oh, me and my wild imagination.

>All I have to say is, he was (and still is and forever will be) my favorite character on TNG. I love him oh so much. What I find ironic is that he is the only one without emotions on the ship but yet he is the funniest! In my perspective, of course.

Yes! Data is sooo cute and  funny!

Yes. Yes, that is very true.

o.k. back to Data:  What did you think of Data in the episode "Pen Pals" where he befriends a child from a doomed planet, breaking the Prime Directive?      He actually forced Picard to save her planet.   He was a hero, but do you think breaking the prime directive was right?   (  I do  ).

I loved Pen Pals. I fell for the father daughter angle they took on it.. being i myself could relate.  And for a being without the ability to love, sure gave alot of emotional vibes.  Must have been the episode that he stole my heart in ahhhh that lovable huggable android.....

I've mentioned the offspring before.   Lord!!  It made me sniff when Lal died. Loved that episode and how Data was such a good father.

I saw parts of TNG here and there as a child (my mother watched it) and needing breaks from animating, I started watching it on the side to de-stress. Just watched the episode where Data's imprisoned by the collector (Played by Saul Rubinek, so weird seeing him young after watching him play Archie on Warehouse 13 for 2 seasons o__O)- I've been skipping around a bit to watch all the Data-centric episodes, I'll admit, haha. I really didn't expect him to be my favorite coming into the series, and yet, here I am xD

I remember when I was watching Nemesis I was surprised about Data dying. And then I bursted out into crying, and my Dad almost had a heart attack because he thought he heavily bruised my arm or something sbhfgjd But when he found out why I was crying, I felt ashamed. And now he calls Data my man .////.

Yes. I watch that episode now and then, and I'm still amazed at how Picard can say that Lal isn't Data's daughter.
