>Actually it's Lal. And I loved the offspring. Killing Lal was totaly unnecessary. She could have continued working in the bar with Guinan or something. That way she could have stayed in the series without being "in the way" of the story, or whatever the writers were afraid of.

It was sad, though. Like when that Admiral guy came out and said that Data's hands were working faster than he could see...... *sniff*
I love that episode, I thought it was an excellent Data episode. It showed more of Data's human side, which we all want to see. They did a good job of writing in that episode because they made Data "care" and almost love, but still in an android fashion.

Yes, I almost cried at that scene :'(
And in that episode I think Data came as close as he could to love, but yet not feel the emotion.

Sorry for the spelling error, was writing from memory. Anyway, I did cry the first time I saw that episode. OH, and I love that picture you put in your reply. The other episode that made me cry was when Yar died and Data acted just as the other crew did. He had very fond memories of Yar and it was apparant that he was stunned by her death.
live long and.....

Yes, Data uses contractions on several occassions when he is "roleplaying" on the holideck. There was a discussion about this somewhere (on this thread, or in another one, I cannot recall). The fact that Data uses contractions multiple times- usually on the holideck- brings to debate whether or not Data's day to day programming could not handle contractions, whether it was an ability limited to the holideck for some reason, etc.

Now that, for me is a gross understatement. At the end of that movie, it was somewhere between sobbing uncontrollably and running around banging walls in anger. I was one of those people who was definitely not happy with the ultimate human sacrifice thing. It didn't satisfy me really at all to end the series like that. *sigh* Oh well.

Nemesis, imo, was a dissappointment... Data's death was just the icing on the cake of how much I disliked NEM. But the franchise redeemed itself with ST09! But, I think I've complained enough. The TNG movies were never that great for me... I liked FC, but I'm probably biased coz of the whole 'Borg' thingy... INS wasn't that bad... it'd have made a great episode of TNG methinks. Even GEN was better than NEM. imo.
