Are Vulcans Ticklish?

This is just a random question I came up yesterday. Maybe someone can explain. I mean, I would think they could be ticklish, since it's just a reaction, but I dunno. If they do, do they go berserk? The way a Minbari does off of B5 when they have alcohol?

I don't know if they're ticklish, but they definitely have more tactile sensitivity than humans, so they tend not to engage in casual touching. I mean, touching hands is pretty much kissing for Vulcans, so yeah...I guess I haven't answered your question at all but I imagine anything humans feel, Vulcans also feel...but more intensely.

I would think so, too. But I don't think that they would laugh the way we do when tickled.

I would think that since they physiology is different, their nerves and responses are different.  Of course, since they're humanoid, that doesn't preclude them from having a response to that sort of stimulus.

I doubt it. Vulcans are not supposed to even be able to physically laugh (I remember McCoy's alarmed response in "Plato's Stepchildren" when the aliens manipulated Spock, and forced him to laugh), so I am prone to believe that Vulcans would not respond to "ticklish" spots as humans do. I rather doubt that they are ticklish at all, considering their anatomy is so different... why not their nervous system?

They would just block that sensation just like their emotions.

They would probably say "Are you trying to illicit a biophysical response resembling an emotional outbreak?"

I totally agree with you switcherdawna. That is very typical of a Vulcan.

From my own experience:
Laughing while tickling is not emotional response, it's physiology. Like a sneezing reflex when you have something in your nose. As opposed to it, laughing is not important to stay alive. You won't suffocate. It's possible to block it and not laugh. It depends on willpower and, of course, on person (I can, some peers not).

Tickling is a torture method, not fun. I'd go berserk. If a Vulcan would so, depends on strength of his/her willpower.

Yes, they probably are ticklish, but they just don't laugh or squirm or something when you do it. Obviously Vulcans wouldn't be tickling other Vulcans, but if someone else tickled them, they'd just tell you it was an illogical activity or something.
