Cool...
JG Hertzler (John Garman Hertzler) is best-known for playing Chancellor Martok on Deep Space Nine. However, his "Star Trek" links go back to 1990, when he appeared in an episode of Quantum Leap opposite Scott Bakula, the man who became Jonathan Archer.
When auditioning for the role of Martok for Deep Space Nine, the casting director told him to show more anger so he threw a chair at a wall. The display cost him a thumbnail, but won him the role.
Good-natured, yet violent outbursts against furniture seem to be a specialty of his. During an interview for a German public access channel he demonstrated what an outside linebacker (his position in college football) is by suddenly throwing a table over.
He is one of only four actors to play seven different characters on Star Trek. He played the Vulcan captain of the U.S.S. Saratoga, General/Chancellor Martok, Roy Rittenhouse and Laas on Deep Space Nine, a Hirogen hunter on Voyager, and Kolos and a Klingon captain on Enterprise.
JG became an active fighter in finding a cure for sclerodermia (a lethal disease of the skin) after his father died of it. He also contributed voice acting to several Star Trek computer games, including Star Trek Klingon, Star Trek: Armada I and II and Star Trek: Elite Force II.

>Siddig El Fadil (Alexander Siddig) is known for playing Dr. Julian Bashir in the television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and for his performances as Prince Nasir Al-Subaai in Syriana (2005). He has also guest starred on 24 as Hamri Al-Assad. Siddig co-starred in the award-winning film Cairo Time (2009) as Tareq Khalifa. Siddig was born in Sudan and has spent most of his life in England. In 1996, Siddig and his co-star Nana Visitor became involved – their son, Django El Tahir El Siddig, was born on September 16, 1996, and the couple married on June 14, 1997.
>Another interesting Star Trek fact... Siddig's uncle is Malcolm McDowell, and they both starred in the 2008 movie Doomsday. Malcolm also of course starred in the movie Star Trek Generations, and actually received death threats when people found it was his character that killed James T. Kirk. His other famous movies were If.., Time After Time, Blue Thunder, the first two Halloween movies, and of course A Clockwork Orange. Malcom was born in Leeds England.
