This may be a bit of a 'rerun'... with some extra information...

Today I'm watching The Way to Eden... a TOS standard, where a bunch of hippie-type non-conformists steal a shuttlecraft to try find their way to a mythical planet, Eden.

One of the colourful hippies is Adam, played by Charles Napier. He played in interesting roles afterward - in dozens of movies.

One of my favourites is Silence of the Lambs, where he plays a guard for Hannibal Lector. He also had an interesting role in the Blues Brothers.

Not sure if these were mentioned yet, but Andy Robinson(Garak) was the scorpio-killer in the 1971 Clint Eastwood movie "Dirty Harry". That's ironic cause the character is similar to Garak even though the movie was made many years before DS9.

Armin Shimerman(Quark) played a prison doctor in the 1990 Jean-Claude Van Damme movie "Death Warrant".

Today I'm watching 'The Year of Hell, part 1', a Voyager episode. The bad guy is Annorax, played by Kurtwood Smith who is better known as the Dad on 'That 70s Show'. By the way, he also played the Federation president in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991). He's also guest starred in House M.D., 24, Malcolm in the Middle, Family Guy, and many other shows.

One interesting point, I believe Ensign Kim makes a comment about the 'Year of Hell' in a later episode... but at that point, the past would have changed, the original timeline re-established, so there would have been no 'Year of Hell'.

This isn't about an actor in an episode, but a director. Today I'm watching Voyager, an episode called 'Course: Oblivion'... directed by Anson WIlliams. A lot of us older folks would remember him as Potsie Webber on Happy Days.

In 1972, Williams landed the role of "Potsie" in a segment of the comedy-anthology series Love, American Style titled "Love and the Happy Days", which also introduced Richie Cunningham (Ron Howard), Richie's mother Marion (Marion Ross), and other characters that would be spun off into the television series Happy Days. (Only Williams, Howard and Ross reprised their roles for the spin-off). The new series' first season, during which Williams received second billing after Howard, was centered mainly on Richie and Potsie. Eventually, as break-out character Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli (Henry Winkler) and Richie's mother, father and sister became more popular, Potsie was joined with Ralph Malph (Donny Most, who was merely a side character in season one), and Potsie and Ralph became inseparable.

I could always recognize whenever John Billingsley (Phlox) is cast, from inflections and accent. Even if I can't remember how he looks like without the Denobulan makeup. I would just confirm it from the credits
