I worked with the actor that played Lieutenant Jones, a mostly background character. He has a screen page on Star Trek Memory Alpha. Also he did have a few speaking parts. First time was in Dramatis Personae(he was the Starfleet security guard in front of the captain's quarters, said "Chief O'Brian's Orders"), other's were Time's Orphan("Chief. Jones to Security. I found them. They were trying to steal a runabout.") and Chrysalis("Can I help you?" to Patrick who said"That's a stupid question."

Vic Tayback was born in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, January 6, 1930 - the son of Helen (née Hanood) and Najeeb James Tayback. His parents were immigrants from Aleppo, Syria. Tayback moved with his family to Burbank, California, during his teenage years and attended Burbank High School. He ended up living in the city for the rest of his life. His most famous role was diner owner Mel Sharples in the 1974 movie Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, followed by his reprisal of the role on the related television series, Alice, which ran from 1976 to 1985. He was the only cast member of the original film to reprise his role in the television version. Tayback also guest starred in an episode of the fourth season of All in the Family which was called "Et tu, Archie?"

Now, here's one for some of you... did you pick up on the episode of Next generation where Kelsey Grammer plays an interesting cameo?
The Enterprise is shown to be stuck in a time loop, with events culminating in the destruction of the ship as a result of a collision with another Starfleet vessel that emerges from a space-time distortion. As each loop proceeds, the crew members, though unaware they are in the loop, have increasing feelings of déjà vu.
His appearance is in the last 70 seconds only of this video, but it's interesting he's a part of this.

Not a him, but definitely worth mentioning...
Kate Mulgrew in "Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins"

BTW: I recommend watching that movie.
Robert Picardo is almost "in every movie", I think I saw him in "Gremlins 2".

I'm watching the TOS episode of 'The Lights of Zetar', which pas written by a husband/wife team. Jeremy Tarcher, and Shari Lewis... Shari was popular on shows like Ed Sullivan in the 1960s as a ventriliquist (remember Lamb Chop?)

I'm watching Part 2 of Voyager's episode "Year of Hell"... interesting story of time, personality, and madness.
A main character is Annorax, played by Kurtwood Smith... whom many of us recognise as the father Red Foreman on "That 70's Show". He's also been on shows like "X Files", and "24". He also appeared a couple of times on "Medium".
He made other appearances in the Star Trek franchise, playing the President of the Federation in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, a Cardassian named Thrax in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Things Past", Another of my favourite shows is House, and he guest starred there too. in 2013, he's to be in the next Batman movie as well.
It was said Kurtwood was offered the role of Richter in Total Recall, but he turned it down because he felt the role was too similar to his character in RoboCop.
