How can it be downsized, it is already minimally competent? Though it would be an outrage if the official site went down, it wouldn't surprise me with as little respect CBS has for the franchise or interest they express in this site. I wonder why they even bothered to buy Trek to begin with.

StarTrek.com is not being closed or downsized. The Facebook Connect was added to simplify the login functions of our Facebook users.

We will be deleting this topic in 24 hours.

I find 2 things interesting about this. 1) this is the only time an admin has actually interacted to tell us what is or is not happening. 2) he chimes in to say they are closing this thread that could make them look bad where his post actually ends the rumor making this thread useful for stopping the rumor.

So big brother is watching. But only speaks when ill spoken of. God forbid you keep us updated like the STO people.

Seriously. I feel like they choose to be deaf unless someone dares speak against them. What is this, Nazism? It is ridiculous!

And no, I did not make three posts on purpose.

Yep, go ahead and shut down this thread. I guess freedom of speech and expression isn't a star trek ideal anymore.

No one is being threatened nor is the thread insulting ro the website. If you want to shut this down, go ahead and be like the Nazis and Communists, but you are just going to upset the fans even more and you will be opening yourself up to more anger. Freely suspense the truth, administrators, and you have nothing to fear from rumors.
