How many fellow baseball fans are on here?  For those who are, who is your team?  Sorry for the 2nd one, there was a glitch in the system.

Sorry, I'm a softball fan, ex player; I like men though.

It's strange, being a catalyst for things that move outside.

When I was a kid, Johnny Bench was my favorite player and I followed the Reds. Now that Colorado has a team, I'm a Rockies fan (although I hardly ever get to watch them.)

Fair enough Admiral, I'm from VA so I don't have a local team. Admittedly, I'm a Yankees fan --- all time favorite player is Mickey Mantle.

I'm not a big baseball fan, but I love DS9's "Take Me Out To The Holosuite" episode!

Huge baseball fan here. Grew up in the NYC area in the 1970's & 80's, following the exploits of Mr. October, Bucky (Bleeping) Dent, and Donnie Baseball; and later Doc, Mookie, Straw, Mex, and The Kid. I have continued to follow both the Mets and Yankees, and attend several games a year. My current favorite player is Derek Jeter. It's hard to imagine all those Yankees championship teams of the late '90's without The Captain. I'm extremely pleased that he'll end his career in pinstripes.

That is pretty good.

My favorite team is the Oakland Athletics and I also follow the World Series Champs the San Francisco Giants!

So what do you guys think? Is Trevor Hoffman a first-ballot Hall of Famer? If Mariano Rivera desrves to go--and I think he does--then surely the all-time MLB saves leader should get in, too.

Congrats on a great career, Trevor. Next stop, Cooperstown!

but they didnt win did they? and previous to this season they had won a whopping 1 playoff game. Then they couldnt even sign back lee the only reason the went to the WS and they sign an overpriced free agent at a spot that the captain and heart of the teams plays and bumps him to a designated hitter.

Okay no problem. I don't like the Rangers so I won't exactly defend them, however keep in mind that Cubbies fans would love to be in your shoes. At least your (casual) team MADE it to the Series.
