The TNG was about emphasis on the character. It was always a 'drama' setting, that is why the dialogue was probably done in that matter. Worfs fighting is beside the fact that we know that Klingons are warriors. The emphasis is not on the fighting aspect but other issue's that the character had to deal with, like bigotry, ostracism and (dis)honour, etc; If you look at all of the characters, it's similar.

It's strange, being a catalyst for things that move outside.

By the end of TNG and S4+DS9 he is the total epic-ness in fights.
Sisko (Ma man) ain't too bad in a fight, either eh?

I always thought that it made alot of sense. Whenever the crew was fighting someone, the agressors would always go for Worf first, laying him out on the floor. Right before you "engage" a group of people you always do a quick sweep to see who poses the biggest threat, and you start with those particular people. Knocking them out accordingly, in the order of the threat level. So it makes perfect sense that Worf would go down many times.

In a fight, you take the big aggressor down first before you get tired. Then you work on the smaller, weaker guys.

I thought Worf was a great warrior, who fought often enough to lose a few times. The more you fight, the more you will probably lose a few. He was courageous enough to never hesitate to fight for what he believed. He was also intensely loyal to his captain and crewmembers, which I admire. At work, a friend of mine is really into military memorabilia, but he showed no interest in one of the greatest books on modern warfare I've ever read: General Avraham Adan, On The Banks Of The Suez. I realized then that he loved the medals and things, but he did not have the heart of a warrior. Worf has the heart of a warrior and is fearless. You've got to respect him for that!

The other best Worf line was "Assimilate this!" in First Contact when he destroyed those Borgs on the deflector dish.

Good to hear because I like the Klingons and hope to see Worf smack some people around. I didn't really like them so much until I saw the episode where Riker takes the transer job as commander of the Klingon ship as part of the Federation exchange program. The scene where Riker is eating with the Klingons is classic. I nearly pee'd myself when the guy asked him if he needed one of the females to breast feed him.

His reply was even better..."One or both?"
