Well, if the admins would give us updates as to what's going on, people might be more willing to stay instead of dealing with a "beta" site for several months.

There's been a clean up of unsavories. People who feel the need to abuse freedom of speech, bad mouth fellow users and disrespect the fact that young fans like to come here too.
But don't worry, as time goes by new people will come and fill the void est.
Over all that and the fact there still needs to be a lot of bugs that still need to be worked out. Also the busy Holiday season too takes away users.

Actually, a good number of new users end up as victims of a report campaign from at least one paranoid "member" who was ban on sight here for causing trouble and now has multiple duals that it uses to report anyone it assumes to be someone it doesn't like.
I know of several who have had accounts suspended simply because this "person" reported them multiple times with multiple accounts. THat's PART of the reason this community won't flourish the way it did.
For a start, it's no longer a community.
ANd yeah, this post will be screen captured and added to a long list of such screen captures this predator uses to stalk other members.

sometimes it's been impossible - a couple of days ago, I tried to post and the board just stopped responding - I couldn't get to it for about 15 minutes.

I came here cause it's the "official" boards. Of course the official admins don't do anything but delete posts and people and don't seem to care about their product. And if they are apathetic, it's bound to become contagious.
2 specific member related issues I've observed are offensive posts that have hurt others' feelings (especially in the homosexual conversations) and a lack of original ideas to talk about.
