it really isn't...

foam core, clay, paint...

I'm having some trouble locating silver paint, but I could always ask my tech-ed teacher if I could borrow some spray paint.

The pin is really going to be the most difficult part... maybe magnets would be the way to go with this...

Silver paint is easy try Autozone or any other automotive parts store they usually have a good selection of silver or metallic spraypaints.

Woo hoo!

finished my mobile-emitter... I went with four straight pins on the back, and just mixed up some grey paint instead of silver. it looks fine.

Ebay is good for uniforms... I think, anyway. I found lots there.

Cosplay Sky is great! I've ordered from them before (nothing ST, but...) and the quality was pretty great.

Janeway- ! ! I'm with you. hahahaha

My two best friends and I all own TOS uniforms, and I like to think we're pretty real.

Still no luck on a Cardassian uniform, found some Cardassian civilian clothing on eBay but that civilian was diminutive so didn't bid I have enough human clothing that doesn't fit me lol

Doc and I are gonna make are own TOS uniforms for Halloween this year . I already have a communicator, tricorder, science badge, a blue shirt, and black pants. I just have to get some black boots....Yeah it'll be a total knock-off. Yeah it'll look homemade but it's a costume and that's what counts to me.

meh!!! did you READ any of my other posts?

I am going to be The Doctor for halloween... Why else would I have amde a holo-emitter?

Pretty much the same with Romulan uniforms :/ I found a $2000 replica that was not even the era I wanted and that was about it with a few TOS Romulan costumes tossed in. No luck with the TNG era however

I would be pretty happy if I could find Romulan civies, but those are impossible to find as well. Hopeing for patterns later on Roddenberry.com

yeah found a few screen used Cardassian uniforms on eBay that went for thousands but belonged to Mark Alamo and the mirror universe Garak... both actors are shorter and skinnier than I. I'm kind of shocked that there are no websites on how to make your own, I found a site that tells you how to make a Klingon from forehead to boots but nothing on any other species... is that racism?
