They finally fixed spacedock! I was so excited. They also made a Horta skin. I would loooooooooooove a Horta BO. Playing last night, the game play hadn't improved that I saw but the topographical changes made more a more enjoyable and accurate experience.

Also, I turned into species 8472 so that was cool! The targ, not so much.

What is online game? Should I quit my job to plat a lot? is it really good?

If you quit your job and play a lot you will run out of things to do - fast. As for being good, that's a relative question. Comparing it to any other game ever made it's on the lower end of of the quality spectrum (review sites say its average - average player comments on credible mmo sites say otherwise). Comparing it to every other Star Trek game made its fantastic. It's also the only Star Trek mmo out there.

Everyone's way out for this game is "it's getting better" To be honest, it is. I find myself logging in to see what's up more and more.

What is an online game?

Online simply means that you play over the internet - with presumably thousands of other players and share your adventures, join fleets, socialize, defeat challenges....at least that's what I was told when I bought it.

In reality you just see other people flying around.

they're charging too much and it takes time to enjoy the game. Who wants that ?

" I once played a great MMOG called ' Starship Troopers: Battlespace ".

Lol to that. I played several MMOG and they were so much better but still lasted just a few years. One of my favorites were ALIENS Online ( based on the movie ALIEN ) then there's ' Starship Troopers: Battlespace " ( based on the movie Starship Troopers ). Both games were great and they costs only $10.00 a month.

I figure as long as I play at least 15 hours a month it's worth it.

I started with the Beta. Then at the first chance I purchased the Lifetime Subscription. Now all it cost is for the extra items in the C-Store. And that's not a nessesary cost. It's my choice. So, the Lifetime is worth it. If you can afford it.

I wanted to get the lifetime, but first I want to make sure the game is going to last and grow into a really great MMO. I'm taking time off the game now until new material is published. I figure I'll make the call then.

I have been seeing ads for BSG online for free on ScyFy channel.

I was tempted to get Star Trek online but the price was high for an unknown item.

I liked BSG but I don't think enough to devote memory in my home PC for the game

The new DC online is another tempter

There is another free star trek game coming out soon too. I've found you have to pay for quality though. Also, if a game is free, then who is funding it and how do their funds affect the experience?

I love STO.  It's the only way you can continue exploring the ST Prime Universe.  You want to know what happens after Romulus is destroyed and Spock presumed dead?  You have to play the game to find out.  Or read the forums, I suppose...but what's the fun in that?

I actually went in for the Lifetime Sub.  It has actually jus about paid for itself.  The space game is a lot of fun and the rest of it is coming along nicely.

I have a lifetime and it has paid for itself.

The problem is I tend to go in spurts. You can level pretty quickly. At the Vice Admiral rank, the missions become team co-operatives. It is tough finding good players to group with who will see a long mission through. Overall though, certainly worth it.

I'd say its totally worth it....its Trek!!! Seriously though, for me it is great simply because it is different. With the price of the game being so cheap now its definitely worth checking out...granted it isn't for everyone but I think it is definitely worth a try. Also, others have said how it is a vast improvement over launch....but I just started so I wouldn't know about that...all I know is that right now I'm diggin it.
