It still seems to be going strong. But, by my calculations, Jean-Luc Picard (born in 2305) would be 76 years old in 2381. While he has been a great captain, and while people in that generation probably stayed younger longer, it is probably time for him to pass the reins to the next generation.

According to STO, she underwent a massive refit to update her systems and such and Data is in command. Countdown shows her commanded by Data during the Hobus star crisis. I wrote Doug Drexler, asking him to design an F for STO. I figured by that time, the E should at least be retired.

Of course, I think she could use an AGT type refit.

But isn't data dead, or did B4 turn into a new data in STO?

Data was resurrected in b4. It was detailed in "the needs of the many" novel. The book wasn't that good, but you should at least read that part in the book store or something because it was very moving.

I think that was forshadowed at the end of Nemesis when B4 started singing that song.

According to the book, it was a difficult process where the positronic net couldn't handle the load of 2 personalities. Engineers tried to reboot data, but then the brain started decompiling them both. DATA tried to delete his program and memories so as not to kill off B4 but as he was telling this to Geordi, B4 did it first. B4 realized his potential was limited and how valuable Data was so he found a way to delete himself first to save his brother. No one realised that B4 was smart enough to do that, not even Data and he was was moved that his brother would selflessly safe his life.
