(Edit: My apologies; I meant to post this in Ten Forward, not here in General ST Discussions. Oops.)

I have recently re-discovered my love for graphic design, and have been making myself a lot of avatars for myself... so I thought I would offer to make my "talents" available to the rest of the community.

Simply post on this thread or on my profile if you desire me to create an avatar for you, with specifications:

1. Which series (and, if you wish, what episode)?

2. What character?

3. Any quotes/screen name personalization?

Also, if you request an avatar that is not TOS or TNG themed, please provide me with an image you would like me to alter. I am not familiar with the other Star Trek series (for now) and it would be difficult for me to find a "good" screenshot that is not already available on Google.

Generally, I make avatars in this size:

I like this size because it fills up the personal profile and gives it interest (it downsizes, of course, for the avatar on the boards). However, if you do not wish it to be this large, please include that in your specifications.

Wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving!

Saw you post just the other night. I just would like to say you have some excellent skills there from what I see in your avatar designs. You say you've just re-discovered your love for GD so I would assume that you're finished with collage? But I guess that part wouldn't necessarily matter but I really hope you take advantage of your skills in other ways. Like making some money on the side with stock/clip art places. Such as Shutterstock. One of many places you can submit your stuff. Oh and I hope you take advantage of freelancing too. Just thought I share. From a fellow artist est.

Hey, Roboto! You are so nice for offering this!   If you want to (please don't put yourself out...) I would really like an awesome avatar. I think that I should go with TOS, Spock, and if it is not too long, "Pain is a thing of the mind. The mind can be controlled." Thank you ever so much for this!!! I hope you have a merry christmas now that it is officially christmas season. Thank you again!!!

I am quite flattered- actually, I have not studied graphic design but it has been a minor hobby for a few years. I used to do a lot... I hate HTML, my friend used to do that for me, and I would create graphics for profile layouts on another site. It is a pretty time consuming activity, however, so I have done less and less work as time has gone by. When I re-joined this site, I started dabbling in avatars and I am beginning to hear the "call of the wild" again. I appreciate your suggestions, and I will most certainly take all into consideration...

You are far too generous. I highly doubt that will happen, but I do not mind one way or another. As to my program, I use a combination of Paint, Microsoft Image Composer, and Picnik. They are all quite simple programs, handy, and often overlooked.

I have just finished your avatar; I will post a link to it on your profile (Edit: It appears as post #6). If you do not like it, please do not worry about hurting my feelings and be honest with me- I will happily make a different one. If you do download it, make sure you save it under a PNG file to preserve the quality.

And iBorg, my good sir- the pleasure was mine.

If it is not too much trouble could you do one with this pic: http://www.chris2win.org/personnel/images/archer.jpg and possibly incorporate my username in there?

"Made with Loving Hands," is right!
Your artwork is of the finest quality
and craftsmanship, Roboto. And that you
share your talent with your fellow TREK
fans is a lesson worth paying attention
to, because there's not much of that, now.
You home-schooled girls are of good character ...
