I fly all the time for work and it doesn't bother me a bit. I may not be armed while on the plane but I can promise you that if some tango jumped up yelling "allah ackbar" I would put him down. Feel safe when ya'll fly as I am not alone.
LOL. Tough talker. Let the air-marshells handle it.

My oldest and I just got back from a quick trip. We flew out and back. Security wasn't any dif. for us then is has been when I take my dad to the airport and go to the gate with him or pick him up at the gate. He's elderly and a fall risk, so I have to go through security along with him. We put our shoes, jackets &/or coats, change (which I put into a zip-lock baggie to keep it all together), cell phone, keys, sometimes I put my billfold in the tray & sometimes I keep it in my pocket, laptop, camcorder and my oldest puts his cross necklace in the tray. We sent that all that through along with our carry on bag and then went through the metal detector. Got all of our stuff back and went onto the gate. After hearing all of the stories I was worried, but nothing like that happened to us. There were a couple of what looked like full body scanners at DIA, but we just went to another line and didn't have any problems going through. Our flight back, after our plane got to the gate, the Captain did tell us all to remain seated and two sky marshals came on board with one dog. It checked the bathrooms and after about 10 or so minutes they left and we were allowed to deplane. Out of 4 flights, that was the only one that was different.

I think the whole "terrorist" story is bogus. How many people wear explosive underwear? It's just another scheme, to allow the government to control us.

Over 30 years ago, I took a college class where one of the topics was terrorism. According to the class, the purpose of terrorism was not to kill people or even scare them. These were just tools to achieve their ultimate goal. Their goal was to make the government crack down on innocent citizens and restrict their rights. This in turn would cause more people, who previously had not plans to do so, act out in a hostile manner against the government.Remember the don't touch my junk guy? This would then make the government more oppressive, leading to even more civil unrest. At first most people will go along with the idea of giving up freedom for the feeling of safety. Less and less, though, as the restrictions become more oppressive. Eventually, 1 of 2 things happens. A tyrannical police state where everyone has to show their "papers" (except illegal aliens, apparently) to go from one place to another or a revolution. I see nothing happening today that makes me doubt what this college course taught decades ago.

No response must mean you all agree.

Solution

Just go tho the airport naked and w/o luggage

BUT....They may figure out another way to humiliate you before boarding

Like arresting you LOL

BTW If you have ever seen the movie "Total Recall" with Arnold, That type of security is commonplace

Similar to the security they showed in True Lies. But that wouldn't be as bad as some stranger looking at my boobies and crotch just under my clothes, or close to it. I'd rather it be my skeleton, at least if that gets posted on the internet it wouldn't be as embarrassing as the pics that Roboto showed. But that's just my oh, so humble opinion

I'd rather avoid flying altogether until the measures are sacked; but IMHO the scanners are the lesser of the two evils.
