Correct - all "ranks" here on the forums are officers - no enlisted, cadet or non-Federation ranks. To move up in "rank," just follow the directions from the first post of this thread.

Made it to Lieutenant... funny how I skipped Lt., JG.

As someone else mentioned, above it's a mix between posts, pictures, and profile comments. I've had the same 5 pics uploaded for months; my post-count hovering just over 100 for weeks; and then one day I comment on somebody's profile then the very next time I log in I've been promoted. It didn't happen immediately. Had to log out and back in the next day before I noticed.
