I liked species 8472 because they the whole fluidic space thing was very original, and they were really different. One gets sick of aliens that look exactly like humans but with the occasional ridge or two on the face. And the borg were good too.

I thought Species 8472 was the coolest - could you imagine if they became friends with the Federation?

I prefer a cold war situation with them, not friends but not enemies. Of course the relaunch novels and STO make 8472 (the Undine) enemies that have heavily infiltrated the Alpha quadrant, even trying to assassinate Worf to take his spot.

I really want the Voth to come back to try to learn about their homeworld.

Kazon and Hirogen since they were unique to Voyager.

The line must be drawn here, this far no farther!

Congragulations, you're the sole supporter of the Kazon. I really would like to read the specifics you liked about them.

I loved the Hirogen too, though being Predator knock offs. But, there is nothing original in sci fi anymore and at least trek put depth into the predators.

Wow--everyone likes the "villain" species--nothing wrong with that. My favorite of all Star Trek species is the Klingons, and I developed that preference watching TOS and TOS cast movies, in which the Klingons are basically villains/antagonists.

But my favorite Voyager-specific species is the Talaxians.
